"The gold rush" is back: Giulia in Australia hunting for nuggets.

Australia, as we know, is the Land of Gold, the continent most beloved by "diggers" because its subsoil is rich in different kind of resources:

  • natural
  • minerals
  • precious metals.

When Europeans discovered the wealth of this new land, they arrived in droves, initiating the so-called "gold rush" in the late 1800s with the construction of the first mines.

That's why those who want to experience the excitement of a captivating nugget hunt consider Australia their natural Eldorado.

With hope in her heart, our Giulia also arrived in the Southern Hemisphere for her first treasure hunt

On a beautiful December afternoon (summer in Australia at this moment), the Detectorshop spokesperson chose a lush forest crossed by a charming stream with an attached waterfall as her "hunting ground." A place interspersed with massive pitch-black trunks, the result of a gigantic fire that devastated part of the Southern Hemisphere two years ago.

Here, Giulia tested her Equinox 900 for the first time, set in Gold 1 mode with a 6" coil. Despite the "false alarms" due to many ferrous stones, the day provided more sighs than valuable finds, but the experience was unforgettable nonetheless!

Among the discovered targets:

  • The stem of a pair of glasses
  • Bottle caps
  • Mechanical tools
  • A mysterious coin.

And gold? Nothing for now, but this experience will help Giulia calibrate her Equinox in different modes and perhaps set it to more high-performance frequencies. In short, two centuries later, the golden age might not be over yet…
