It has several search modes such as Field, Park, 4 Tone, 99 Tone , Beach, All Metal and an advanced discrimination feature that allows the seeker to distinguish between different types of metal.

One of the distinguishing features of Simplex Ultra is its impermeability (up to 5 meters deep), which make it suitable for searches in aquatic environments such as seas and rivers.
