Suitable clothing for research with metal detectors

First of all, use comfortable but sturdy clothes, suitable for the type of environment where you are going to brush.

If you go into the woods equipped with anti-tear clothing.

For the upper part of the body, I recommend, especially to those who start and know little about the places, to wear something with bright colors, or at least a common reflective vest, of those that are used in the car.

In summer do not forget a cap to protect your head from the sun and in winter a nice cap in thermal fabric.

Another essential garment are gloves to protect the hands. By extracting objects from the ground it is always possible to get bruises or cuts, so I would say that gloves are a must.

Footwear is also one of the most critical choices, avoid tennis shoes if possible, because slippery or bumpy terrain could happen to you. Much better a pair of hiking shoes, sturdy, comfortable, very protective and with a nice grip on the ground.

The last accessory of clothing, which I have been using for years and which is becoming increasingly widespread, is the use of at least one knee pad to protect you from stones that may not be visible because they are covered by vegetation and to avoid wearing down your pants or, simply, dirtying them with earth and mud.

Follow our tips

If I want to go in search of the sea how do I dress?

If you go on dry sand you can, unlike ground research, wear common tennis shoes.

If you want to go to the shoreline, you will need to be equipped with fishing boots or footwear that is waterproof. Staying with wet feet, even for a few minutes, especially if the temperature is low, is really annoying.

For the more daring, who want to enter the water and dive partially, the full-thigh fishing boots become practically mandatory, or better yet the so-called WADERS which are species of overalls that reach up to the chest.

For total immersion, on the other hand, you will obviously need diving suits.
